Monkey Baby?

Monkey has been asking a lot of questions lately about all the new baby clothes and furniture we've been bringing into the house. We keep explaining to him that it's for "the baby" and that this is the "baby's room" etc. He's been taking it extremely well... and now I know why. I went into the "baby's room" today and discovered this... I think there may have been a slight misunderstanding.

  • Oh dear. Time to start talking about all the benefits a monkey gets for being a "big boy".

  • Poor sweet monkey. Best explain to him that he will soon have a little friend with whom to play fun little monkey games. And give him an extra banana.

  • Poor little monkey...but I am sure once he finds out what is really going on that he will be very excited to be an older brother. He does look awfully cute in that outfit though!

  • Congratulations!

Hmmm...eighteen years ago, our cat was convinced that "the baby's crib" actually meant "the cat's new bed," but at least he didn't try on our daughter's clothes. Monkey does look very dapper though and quite at home.

A co-worker has a question - Where did you find those adorable booties?

  • LOL...he's just so cute and irresistable!! I came over to see if you've posted any spinning...I'm trying to learn and have more enthuiasm than success with my little hank of roving and homemade drop spindle at this point!

  • Congratulations from me and kate and joey jo jo. I think monkey could just wear those clothes in a little so they are more soft and comfortable when baby arrives. He looks awfully handsome in them.
